But if it is just a cost factor only, I'd choose a LITE (cheap) more current version of a DAW sofwtare. is it the cost? Is it to be compatible with older hardware? Something else? I use a lot of legacy hardware, so this keeps me from seeking out say buying an interface that will require Win 10 etc. I'm not sure what the main objective is for a desire for legacy DAW software. The two were seemingly the same anyway to me (I'm not a power user though), aside from being there's no 64 bit for SX3. Personally if I was on a 32 bit computer, and wanted legacy DAW software, I'd use Cubase SX 3. I've been a Cubase user since Cubase VST 5/32, and I haven't use any other DAW in years so I can't comment on things like Reaper, although I've heard goood things about it.
